God is faithful and at work behind the scenes!

In less than 8 hours, and without a reservation at the embassy, Heather got her new passport today! She was also able to get a new reservation for tomorrow (Tue) on the same flight--without that much of a cost penalty (it could have been thousands of dollars)! I'm sure she'll tell you more--but God is so faithful!

This afternoon I went to see my dental hygienist Lisa...and she told me an amazing story. Apparently one of her, Barb and Cindy's good friends, Nancy I., works for United. She found out about our situation and the fact that the Seattle to Denver flight had been delayed for 2 hours! The layover in Denver was only 2 hours--so how would the team make their connecting flight to London?

Nancy I. worked really hard, making calls, calling in favors and pulling strings...

1) She got the airline to move some planes around so that the team's plane could arrive at the gate RIGHT NEXT TO the departing flight!

2) She called the PILOT and asked him to allow the "mission team to Kenya" deplane FIRST (even thought everyone else was late as well)

3) She asked the pilot if he could basically "step on it" and he told her he could make up about 10 minutes in flight--which would give them 5 minutes to deplane and board their next flight. The airline will not hold any international flights (like the Denver to London flight)--so the team HAD to make it on time!

And you guys did! But I'm sure you didn't know all the work that went on behind the scenes on your behalf! I only found out because I happened to have a dentist appointment that was set months ago!

Despite having so many challenges--before you even got on the plane--we can see that God is still in control and at work on our behalf in ways seen and unseen.

Keep praying! I sure will!---P. Nancy
