They just plop babies in your arms!

Finally in Kenya!! It made me so happy when we arrived and we were outside in the perfect weather because it was cool and windy. Which was surprising to me because I had felt sick the entire plane ride down. We were all basically falling asleep everywhere today, but magically (or not so magically at all, but miraculously) when we all got to the Halfway House to play with babies we were all wide awake and having the time of our lives. There were just 7 or 8 babies at the orphanage, which was sad because we didn’t get to play with many, but also a blessing because that means that there are less orphans and more children with families. The babies were plopped into our arms, and all of us had a chance to spend time with a beautiful baby and take lots of pictures. Emily was the “cute one” and indeed she was, and Henry was the funniest, not just because he wore a pink jacket, but mostly his playfulness and ability to eat an entire bowlful of food. If I didn’t feed him fast enough he’d lunge at the spoon with his entire body, demanding more. What a cutie.

Excited for whatever God has in store for the next two weeks, and praying for Heather (we all miss you so come quickly).

  1. So sad to hear that you felt sick on the plane, but glad you made it safely and was miraculously re-energized for playing with babies! :).
